Lost Bwana Outfitters is proud to offer premium commercial-grade outdoor furniture, known for its durability, UV resistance, stackability, and low-maintenance resin construction. Due to the size, weight, and commercial nature of Grosfillex products (e.g., chaises, tables, lounge chairs, umbrellas), most orders ship via freight carrier (LTL – Less Than Truckload) rather than standard parcel services.

1. Shipping Methods and Carriers

  • Standard Shipping: We use reliable freight carriers such as [e.g., FedEx Freight, UPS Freight, Old Dominion, or regional LTL carriers] for Grosfillex items. Small accessories (e.g., umbrella bases under 50 lbs) may ship via UPS Ground or FedEx Ground.
  • Packaging: Grosfillex products are professionally packaged by the manufacturer or us to minimize damage risk. Chairs are low-stacked on wide pallets for stability and easy fork-lift handling; tables and larger items are secured accordingly.
  • Delivery Type:
    • Commercial/ Business Addresses: Dock or lift-gate often not required; driver may use pallet jack if accessible.
    • Residential Addresses: Lift-gate service is typically required (and included in our quoted shipping if noted). Tailgate delivery only—no inside placement unless White-Glove service is selected.
    • Construction Sites / Limited Access: Additional fees may apply (e.g., $75+ per delivery; contact us for quote).

2. Shipping Rates and Fees

  • Shipping is calculated at checkout based on order weight, dimensions, destination, and carrier rates.

  • Additional Fees (added via follow-up invoice):
    • Residential lift-gate: Included where required for  freight shipments.
    • Call-before-delivery: $35 per shipment (recommended for residential or appointment-needed deliveries).
    • Re-delivery or redelivery due to customer unavailability: $80+ per attempt.
    • Fuel surcharges, residential fees, or remote-area fees as charged by carrier.

We do not mark up freight rates beyond actual carrier costs plus handling.

3. Shipping Estimates and Timelines

  • Processing Time: Orders are processed within [1-3] business days (excluding weekends/holidays). In-stock Grosfillex items typically ship faster.
  • Transit Time:
    • Contiguous U.S.: 5–10 business days for most freight shipments (from Pennsylvania-area warehouses).
    • In-stock/quick-ship items: Often 7–10 business days total door-to-door.
    • Larger/combined orders or backordered items: Up to 2–4 weeks; we will notify you of delays.
  • Estimates are approximate and not guaranteed. Delays can occur due to carrier issues, weather, customs (for non-contiguous), or high demand.
  • We provide tracking numbers via email once shipped.

4. Risk of Loss and Inspection

  • Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery to the carrier (FOB shipping point).
  • Upon Delivery:
    • Inspect all items immediately in the presence of the driver.
    • Note any visible damage, shortages, or issues on the delivery receipt (e.g., "damaged pallet" or "short 2 chairs").

  • Concealed damage must be reported promptly; we work with  the carrier to file claims.
  • Refusal of damaged shipment may result in additional fees.

5. International, Alaska, Hawaii, and Remote Areas

  • We ship to Alaska, Hawaii, and select international locations; contact us for custom quotes (higher rates, longer times, possible duties/taxes).
  • Remote or extended-area surcharges apply per carrier.

6. Order Changes and Cancellations

  • Once processed and shipped, orders cannot be modified or canceled. Contact us immediately if changes are needed—we may accommodate pre-shipment.

Returns

  • Due to the nature of furniture products (size, customization, assembly), all sales are final except as required by law or as outlined below.
  • All products that we sell are cutom made and not returnable.  Please order a sample first if unsure.
  • Custom, special-order, clearance, or final-sale items are non-returnable.
